Unison Research Unico Due
Unico Due is the latest amplifier from Unison Research. Unico Due benefits from Unison Research’s decades of experience in design and production technology. It maintains all the best qualities that made its predecessor a runaway success and introduces new and enhanced features. The electronic circuitry of the Unico Due has been completely redesigned. While maintaining the qualities that made the Unico range such a legend in the audio industry, key improvements have been made that are nothing short of ground-breaking. Firstly, the power supply circuits have been enhanced thanks to a substantial increase in filter capacitance size and to a new high quality shielded and encapsulated power transformer. The new power distribution system of the audio power output stage combines space optimization and superior circuit solutions.

- Hybrid Amplifier Design: Combines a Class A valve preamp stage with a solid-state MOSFET output stage, offering the warmth of tubes and the power of transistors
- Power Output: Delivers 100W RMS per channel into 8Ω, 180W into 4Ω, and 290W into 2Ω, suitable for a wide range of speakers.
- Valve Configuration: Utilizes two ECC83 (12AX7) valves in a parallel double-triode design for enhanced sonic performance.
- Output Stage: Features a dynamic Class A power BJT double complementary pair in a “Super-Symmetric” configuration for robust and detailed sound reproduction
- Filter Capacitance: Equipped with 80,000µF filter capacitance, ensuring stable power delivery and dynamic headroom
- Built-in DAC: Incorporates an ESS Sabre ES9018K2M DAC with jitter eliminator circuit, supporting audio files up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD256, providing high-quality digital playback.
- Phono Stage: Features a built-in phono stage compatible with both MM and MC cartridges, with adjustable gain settings (+0 dB / +10 dB) and RIAA equalization (active at low frequencies, passive at high frequencies).
