Q Acoustics Concept 30 Bookshelf Speaker

Gelcore™ cabinet construction reduces higher frequency cabinet noise.
P2P™ (Point to Point™) internal bracing stiffens the cabinet to minimise lower frequency vibrations.
Isolation suspension base eradicates unwanted external and internal vibrations.
The driver assembly is mounted to the front aluminium baffle by pretensioned studs to give the correct acoustic seal, while dampen vibrations and minimise structural coupling of the assembly in main cabinet.
Ground-up mid/bass and tweeter driver design for increased power handling.
High-frequency driver is fully hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated (floating) from the front baffle to protect from internal resonances from the mid/bass driver.
Crossover design is mounted on the isolation base, to minimise any microphonic pick up and away from electro-magnetic fields radiated by the drive units.

Oh so quiet

Our aim with the Concept series was to design the ‘quietest’ cabinet possible. From the pioneering Gelcore™ cabinet construction, through to the Isolation Suspension System, these technologies deliver close to a resonance-free speaker design, as possible.

Style along with substance

Exceptional engineering inside the cabinet is matched by stunning design. The premium finishes – white or black lacquers, with dual gloss and Italian wood veneer also available for the 300 and 500 models - fits perfectly into any listening environment.

Gelcore™ cabinet technology

First introduced in our original Concept loudspeaker, the Gelcore™ cabinet construction is designed to minimise high-frequency noise. A unique design consisting of a non-setting gel sandwiched between two individual layers, our specially developed adhesive converts the high-frequency vibrations generated by driver movement into heat, allowing for a focused and uncoloured audio performance.

Isolation Suspension System

A refinement of the hugely effective ‘isolation base’ principle first fitted to Concept 300, the Concept 50 has an isolation suspension system in the form of a sprung baseplate. Two plates are separated by suspension ‘spheres’ that effectively isolate the cabinet from interference caused by external vibrations. The result is tighter stereo imaging and greater low-frequency extension.

Controlled driver power

Q Acoustics P2P™ (Point to Point™) bracing technology is used throughout the 3000i series - it supports the parts of the cabinet that need to be stiffened, making the new enclosures exceptionally rigid. This improves the focus of the stereo image and gives the soundstage more accuracy than ever before.

Q Acoustics P2P™ (Point to Point™) bracing technology is used throughout the Concept loudspeaker range - it supports the parts of the cabinet that need to be stiffened, making the elegant enclosures exceptionally rigid. This improves the focus of the stereo image, and gives the soundstage more accuracy than ever before.

HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer)

The Concept 50 and Concept 500 are, like all floorstanding loudspeakers, vulnerable to internal build-up of pressure that causes both unwanted standing waves and colouration. To prevent this occurring, specially designed HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser™) tubes are fitted inside the cabinet to nullify internal pressure and improve frequency response.
